The bike is an ex police bike from 2004

The problem is that the brake light will not come on when the front brake lever is squeezed. It works fine off the rear brake pedal.

There is a pressure transducer in the bolt holding the banjo to the front master cylinder and although I think this might be a red herring, it gives an output proportional to the amount of pressure applied to the lever so I guess that’s OK.

The micro switch on the lever is also fine and operates correctly when tested for open circuit / closed circuit. I cannot measure 12V on either wire however.

That narrows the search to a blown fuse, a welded relay or a corroded connector / broken wire but as we believe the relay is common to the rear switch too, it’s probably not that. The fuses are all fine too. Time to strip the fairings off then :blast

Can anyone with experience of these bikes give any other pointers?

This is keeping a Blood bike off the road.
