To make it easier for you to find my posts with Norwegian information, specially the new ones, I'll collect threads here where I have contributed with different types if info.
I do this because I have noticed often the same questions are coming.

But please don't get me wrong;
if you get trouble to find the information you need - please ask me! :)

:beer: And if you want to meet me; I'm at Tyrigrava 95% of the wednesdays in a year! Tyrigrava is my favorit cafè close to Oslo! :beer:

More is coming! :)

Here they want to know if you have to do something with the lights of your bike; up here we ride on the left side of the road.

...to save you some time;
if you ride in daytime in the summer; don't worry about it!
But if you ride in the dark, or bring your car for driving in the winter - that is a different question...

Dark; it is not that dark here in the summer in the evening.
It won't get dark before you stop for the night at a hotel or a camp site.
Meeting cardrivers will notice your light is different, but it won't be a problem!

A man plan to go to the south west part of Norway (the part I recommand to all of you!) and he get a lot of useful replys!
Here you'll find pictures of Lysebotn / the Eagles Nest (not far from Stavanger - follow the fjord Lyse to the bottom of the fjord at your map), links to pictures, and where-to-sleep-information from the tourists - not me!

..uhm...eh..welll... This is a little OT...
It tell you the dates for me and Knut's holiday in England and Wales this summer, and there is a link to our pictures from our holiday in England and Scotland 2005. The picture link is to a Norwegian BMW site.

....I had to brag - please forgive me!

An excellent effort - very much appreciated :D

I hope to go camping in Norway in September. The idea is to spend the night of Sept 22 actually on the Artic Circle itself. Hoepfully I will spend most nights camping somewhere. Is this too much to expect?

PS Never been riding in Norway.

You can do it!
But make sure there are open campsites on your route that time a year!
And the nights can be cold, so a hytte (hut) is the best.
Many campsites have some hytter. (Hytte = one. Hytter = two or more.)
Perhaps a hostel is perfect for you? Or a B&B? Try this link; www.bbnorway.com
September can be nice and sunny, or cold and wet...
Up in mountains the temperature might be below 0c at night, and then the threes get beatiful colors.

Don't expect to see the Northern Light (Aurora Borealis) - you better go further north and in the winter to see that. But it is possible to see it all over Norway; I have seen it 3 times (if I remember corectly) in my life, in Oslo. But not as beatiful as they see it up north...

Not much information here, only this:
It is not cheaper to buy a tent in Norway.

Again; you can read what people who has been here wrote.

And a little update;
it says many bikers are coming to Oslo and the Baltics;
my boyfriend Knut and I met the group in Lidkoping, Sweden. And Rolf met the group in Lithuania! :beer:
