My father rode an LE, & later an Ariel Leader, which was quite an advanced concept, but I still lusted after the Speed Twin in Amaranth red he'd once had in the garage..........
They'd invented colour film by the time I started...

I loved those old Avon fairings on the pre-R100RT bikes - built like an ocean liner - probably weighed as much as the engine...
