Looking back at Gourock.... the Ferry is a good way to avoid riding near Glasgow

And the fine vessel that took me across was the Sound Of Shuna

I got off the boat and stopped at Lazaretto Point for a pic of the War Memorial

I don't know, but I wish I did. :)

You wouldn't be saying that in the middle of January when it's -18c, the wind's howling and you've been cut off for a month with no power, no beer and no toilet paper :nono

:D

Very nice pictures, the sort of scenery and conditions we hope to see.

These must have been taken on Thursday. On the Friday I encountered heavy rain all the way from Edinburgh to Skye - where it magically cleared as Scotboxer and I got off the Kylerhea ferry :thumb2.

Thanks for posting these, I'm glad you had a good trip and look forward to meeting up again soon.

Bob.

No, not Jimmie's but it's a climbing club hut I think, usually see it from the other side so could be wrong. Just under the Buachaille at the start of Glencoe. Stayed in it years ago and beer was involved somewhere along the line :beerjug:

This is the same cottage from another view. It's as Northern Jock describes.

Sir Jimmy 's cottage, "Knowe Then" is on the opposite side of the road further north at the start (south side) of Glencoe.

What a fantastic area for biking, walking, climbing and taking photos. I get a buzz every time I'm there :thumb2
