That's horrible

Hot Airheads

Hi recently returned to the forum as I have the hankering for another GS . The bikes they are building at Friwi Motorcentre in Germany look interesting does anyone have any experience of them? or is there anyone closer to home who would build something similar? what I am interested in is an R100 or 80 gs with white power or similar forks and rear shock but leaving the engine stock .Why ? because the brakes and suspension on the GS are the weak points and i like the Dakar look! - not sure how much frame mods would be required if any , not looking to use hard off road , maybe a bit of green laning with the odd uk rally and touring trips with luggage to the Alps Morocco etc

Anyone have one of these QTech rear ends sat in their garage?

I've one but it's still attached to my bike :)

It's looks good and is light but I would recomend something that has a bit more comfort and could carry some gear

Here's a nice one I saw in Colombres when I went to watch the Moto-Piston Rally in Northern Spain last October.

Nice custom job, I thought :D

Hi there Jaythro,
Just wondering what shocks and silencers are on the white BM?
Nice looking bike.
Cheers
Stuart
HI Stuart , Well the shocks I can tell without shedding a tear they are de~cowled Ohlins with alloy upper extensions of about 25 mill

The exhausts on the other hand do raise a tear! are my Old Breakwell and Green handmade
stainless exhausts that the new owner Chopped out about 12 inches from standard tail pipes and repacked with soundproofing and welded the ends back on!! THey are "Rather" snarly :)

Then again the whole bike started off like ---

Saw this lovely old R60/5 in the Picos last year.
a Geordie lad & his mate were on it - he reckoned he'd picked it up for a song, done it up a bit - He got details of the original owner & sent him a photo as a momento, then got a letter back from him saying he still had the panniers & did he want them for free ! - nice result.
