Cafes, coffee stops and favourite greasy spoons in the South West

Lyme Regis : Bell Cliff Tea Room, just above the Cob Gate car park.
4a, 5/6 Broad St, Lyme Regis DT7 3QD, UK

Easy to park motorbikes in the car park, or just along from the car park.

Last week called into https://www.foxtorcafe.com, handy for prison visits and rides across Dartmoor.

Had the standard breakfast, possibly on the small side with one of each item but it was definitely VFM and a larger breakfast was on the menu so my mistake.

They also have a great pub next door and a bunk house which is very comfortable. I think a lot of people on this site already know it. I have been to a few big GS meets there. Fantastic weekend. I ride on Dartmoor all the time. I usually spend Christmas day there to, even with the roads covered in ice. I've got to say though, Exmoor is a much better ride and the scenery is soooo beautiful. I had a picknick there a few days ago.

The small bridge at Postbridge, just down the road, is fun too. Riding towards Princetown is the best direction to approach it at over 60mph. You wont go high but you will fly a good distance. Best to survey it first though so as you don't hit someone or something, there is a car park on the right. :thumb

Yesterday we visited Chipperies on the Main Street in Wareham Dorset, very nice piece of fish, my mate had the chips as well, which he enjoyed. They don’t appear to have a website, but are on Facebook.

Are there good places, that you can recommend for bikers to get refreshed on Exmoor?

The one already mentioned is just about the best. Safe parking at the rear and you can sit outside admiring your steed, tied to a rail outside, raring to go again.
https://www.foxtorcafe.com,

Tavistock is a nice ride, worth a visit, weekdays you should find a space in the square but there aren't many bike spaces. You will always find a space somewhere even if you have to use the dedicated car park, it's a nice walk along the river path into the town, 5 minutes away. Quality traditional cafe in the pannier market and you might find some interesting paraphernalia on the stalls.

Then ride back onto the Moor.

There is a 40mph speed limit on the Moor's 100+mph roads (potentially) weekdays are the best day's to ride, you may find less other motorbike traffic and less chance of a speed gun. :thumb
