Klankys GOTC Rideout

Here's a pic of the route I plotted on my Nuvi for last years rideout.

So I guess it will be similar this year, inc the Craggan Hotel for sarnies and Lochinver Pie Shop !!! Yum yum

Gentlemen (and Ladies, of course),

Unfortunately I'm not going to make Ullapool.

I'm now severely bogged down with work and some personal stuff that needs resolving, so I'm afraid I'm going to have to bow out as 'organiser' for the run. I could really do with someone willing to take over and ensure everything runs smoothly.

Anyone care to step into the breach? It's a question of just sorting out times and RV's to suit everyone and phoning a suitable venue to organise sarnies and coffee.

I'm really sorry to do this, I've been looking forward to GOTC for months, but it would seem that it is to go on the same scrapheap as my other planned trips this year:(

Lee,
so sorry to hear that.

I'll do it if nobody else who knows the area better wants to.

Only been up there once- ie last year.

So it may be a bit gash !!!

And so am I. Hope you manage to get things sorted out.

Klankster...noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. Who will dance with me now....

Seriously though mate you'll be missed.

Lee, I don't mind helping out with the run, could give Arsey a hand if thats any good, will pm you.

I'll lead it in my van, James Burton says he'll do tailender in his van so you're in safe hands. I'll slow down a bit so you should be able to keep up with me.

Has anyone got the route as a mapsource file that I can download? :)

You don't need one.

Just go up a bit and right a bit. Keep going 'till you get wet then go left bit then doon the way until yer back in Ullapool.

Sorted then, if you all meet in the car park of The Nae Fanny Bar on Main Street at 10am prompt with full tanks and a couple of quid for my diesel I'll lead you on the ride of your life :jager

Ok,see here for update on this year's rideout.

As nobody has rushed to come forward,I'll step in but am more than happy to step-down if someone else with more local knowledge would like to take over.

Need to confirm lunch numbers on other thread please.

Just be aware that I've only been up there once so may have to join the dots a bit !

But Ive got the route on my GPS and can remember most of it anyway from last year.

Cheers
