How many tossers are proud owners? I have only seen one other and that was on the M5 yesterday on the way down to collect this one :)

I'm a tosser and a proud owner... I'm guessing you mean owner of an SE? Love it. Love it. Love it. Best Gs I've had yet and that's saying something.

Chris.

Im the very proud owner of a SE mine has different head covers than yours though :thumb i have never seen another SE on the road, CW Dorchester had a second hand one for sale the other week when i was down there :augie

nice bike mate hope you got sorted with your seat.

try and get lynn on this one before you sell it:augie

Mine had the standard head covers swapped for Hepco and Becker engine bars when bought new ;)

Dean, got the seat sorted:) Lyn will be on it tomorrow :thumb

I too am the proud owner of a GS1200SE ,had the 1150 GSA silver and a white SE and then a white 1200GSA followed by a Red GSA1200. Now the best of the lot!! The 1200SE:D:thumb2:bow

Reckon for a short arse like me its the best option :thumb no extra height, wire wheels, and all the bells and whistles.. and a great colour scheme... I can cope without a 400 mile tank range as I can't see me going anywhere sans fuel ;)

A North Eastern owner here and haven't seen another one NE / NW or around the Borders as yet (although there is obviously one not far away in Cleveland :)
Enjoying the experience so far after a succession of Japanese large capacity inline fours and looking forward to a European tour and Manx pilgrimage this year.

Mick

highest mileage SE?

I love my SE. The best GS I have yet had (of three). I have just returned from a 7000 mile trip to Syria and Lebanon. The bike just got better and better. Best fuel consumption on the computer was 57.6 miles/gallon. maximum actual range was 236 miles with 2 litres remaining in the tank. This was helped by doing 130 miles down hill from the anatoylian plateau to Adana in Turkey:blast. Only replaced a bulb. no oil used.

So the bike has done 16,700 miles since 8 July last year. Can any SE owner top that?

Regards,

Path.

 you must be on that SE 24/7 :pullface Had mine since 20th August 2009 and done 4500 miles and i thought that was good going, just about to put another 2k on 15th May off to France :bounce1

I have had my SE since June last year (2nd one out the door from Bahnstormers) 7000 miles so far - via San Marino and Slovenia last September.

Bryn

The bike looks brilliant. I'm afraid my 1200GS is a humble grey one. I don't think I have ever seen an SE on the road. Are the owners frightened of getting them dirty?

Get your skates on.

Ian,

I never thought I would say it, but they really aren't run in until about 13,000. Its now smooth as silk, even at low revs.

The SE is my only transport other than a pushbike. It shops, commutes, visits relatives and does amazing long trips. I reckon that the trip to syria involved over 100 hours in the saddle. Its not that difficult. Just get out and ride!

Path.

Just traded in my FJR for another GSA. FJR bought new July 22nd 09 sold today with 21000 on the clock.

Ok its not SE but still 2 wheels :beerjug:

White is soooo 2009  Black is the new white for 2010 :thumb

Seriously now - it is a lovely looking bike, enjoy!

3rd GS

Got mine in July, Just going in for its 6k service at Bahnstormer on Wed, No problems, used no oil at all, unlike my 04 GS, which used a lot to start with, I have to say had almost no trouble in 42k miles, and looked good as new. The SE is a nice bike just seems to be that little much quicker, Fitted Road Attack Tyres at 4500 miles much better in the bends.

Another 1200 SEer here. My 3rd 1200 and the best :thumb2
