Thinking of buying one.

Looks to me like the only key difference is with or without camera.

Any thoughts / recommendations from owners in real world use much appreciated.

TIA

Depends what you want to use it for.

I bought a Garmin Montana™ 600 + GB 1:50K SD Map Card. I use it on my off-road bike for following off road routes. The mapping was an essential part of the deal.

Most satnavs will only follow road routes. I have a Garmin Zumo 590LM for my road bike. In my opinion my previous Zumo 550 had a much better display.

I plot my routes and tracks using Basecamp

Montana 600 is ample for 99% of folk.
I find having City Navigator on the hard memory, then GB Discoverer on the memory card is a decent method of mapping storage. Then when visiting other countries, out goes GB and in goes local mapping, leaving CN should I need routable maps to fall back on for road work.

I also have the 600.
Use on the road bike, dirt bike and the car.
I keep all the maps on a 32gb card and activate/deactivate the maps as needed.
Works well.
