Cochem

slightly further up-river but off the main ''Weinstrasse'' (B53) is the town of Reil. The Reiler Hof (https://www.reiler-hof.de/de/) is good. Not the cheapest. Has a garage but mainly for push bikes. Good food and great rooms. Right on the water and the road in front is not the main one but a much quieter and safer one

Stayed here a few years ago...not far from Cochem...on the Mosel in Zeltingen-Rachtig... Highly recommended...:thumb2

Hotel extract info....
Situated directly on the banks of the Mosel River you can discover the Mosel on a boat trip, or perhaps seek out the walking trails along the winding Mosel or just indulge yourself in our luxury spa while enjoying the beautiful view of the Mosel River. Interesting day trips to Trier - the oldest city in Germany – or to the fascinating Medieval Eltz Castle or to the fairy-tale Cochem Castle are all great attractions awaiting your visit but of course not to forget the delights of tasting Mosel Riesling wines directly from local vintners. Zeltingen-Rachtig, the home of the Deutschherrenhof, is located just a short distance away from the famous Mosel town of Bernkastel-Kues with its romantic old medieval town centre.

Sedation was great.
Home again now and taken to me bed as told to rest.
Luckily I can summon wifey for a cup of tea using the bell icon on Alexa which will ring in the kitchen :)

Result.

Ta all but it’s rammed everywhere as mid July along the Mosel so we’re probably going to stay an extra night in Bouillon instead and ride out from there .

You’ll always find digs, a brew and scran.

I read it here.
