New Z900RS

They’ve cheated a bit on the forks, they’re anodized gold and apparently tweaked but they’re still the Kawasaki units (Kayaba I think) not ohlins

The ohlins back shock would be nice to have especially for the remote preload adjuster and the brembo caliper should be good too

Having said that I’m still loving my “normal” Z900rs, it’s a brilliant bike, the standard suspension is plenty good enough and the Kawasaki branded radial brakes are excellent :thumb2

Hope you’re getting a good part ex price against the SE ? :)

I think the subject of 'modern classic' vs retro splits folk. I know some would prefer to see the 4 into 4 and twin shocks, which in my mind is more 'modern classic' than retro, which is instead more about styling cues on a modern bike. I prefer the 4 into 1 yoshi, but the price is too much for me at this time.

All horses for courses!

Whilst we'r talking pipes; these 3 Yoshi systems all look a bit different; it's the headers on these;

Yes, they were in Chris Walkers at Grantham. I enquired as to the cost supplied and fitted and was quoted just under £2k.

Thankyou Dave,I always wished I bought one of of the original zeds when they first came out,those 4 pipes did it for me!!

yes, I think the Jaffa (red black) one looks different. The only difference in the other two look possibly to be that one is machine bent, the other is hand bent. The prices of each were tenable until just recently, at 1400 and 1700 respectively, but are now 1700 and 2350 respectively! I think the other aspect in all this is that the standard pipe is very nicely tuned, and I'm not sure that the add-ons improve this rather than detracting.

That's a big price hike yofi; although they do look great; the standard system is a nice piece of kit and still give a 4 into 1 wrasp when giving it some. My mate had the 4 can delkavik on his for awhile but has gone back to the 4 into 1 again. I've always loved these 900s but ended up with the 1000 sx because it was better for both of us. For just me it would be the 900 all day long. The Jaffa does look tasty,:beerjug:

It's going to be a buzzie day at drayton croft
