The long way up.
This year the long way up is heading to the Scottish Borders.
Aiming to get to Samye Ling Buddhist Temple in Eskdalemuire.
Via some great roads and the slight chance of a short off road stretch in Kielder forrest
if time allows.
The off road is not too hard is novice friendly and should be fine for road tyres if it's dry.
My bike has trances fitted if that helps,
It is a long ride of in excess of 250miles and will take us all day.
So, we will be travelling at or near the speed limits for the given roads.
Be warned, this is not a tea room bimble, so if you're not happy riding briskly all day
this may not be the ride for you.
We will have a coffee and lunch stop.
Pillions are welcome along as long as you can ride off road two up.
All this means a sensibly early start.
Meet for 9am with view to depart at 09.15/30.
I will be riding a 1200 gsa triple black and will park near the toilet block.
As in previous years my mate Andy is coming to help and we will alternate
leading and tail end duties between us.

Paul.

Just a couple of things for Saturday.
Please try and have plenty of fuel or let me know before we set off if you need to get some.
For the drop off system. just please make sure that when we make a turn that the person behind has seen you.

That was an excellent day. Thanks Paul for organising that and to all the others on the ride.
Great roads, excellent riding compatriots.
Think we road about 270 miles, I enjoyed every mile.

Brian

John and Mick.

Just to let you know, I've sorted your tent poles and they are at the shop.
Hope you enjoyed the ride.
Paul.
