I booked the White Lion after searching for "Portsmouth" in the Accommodation section, so posted to provide some feedback and info on the place if others are also looking for accommodation in the area. It's still a relevant thread IMHO.

    I have updated the title.

Of course it won’t prevent Fat Bob, bikermate from Bridgnorth or Blackpool, stating yet another thread (probably in the Travel section, from where it’ll have to be moved) along the lines of: “Me and me five mates we is off on ours holibobs and is wanting gaff to stay near portmouth biker frendly an in village cos we donut use towns we is of timor0”.

PS Sven is an exception, of course.

    .
I guess I shouldn't have asked for a village rather than a town somewhere near Portsmouth where I could stay. How naive.

Not sure about the timor0 bit.

Cheap and cheerful ( could do with new stair carpets.. ), stayed there recently, 10 minutes from the big floaty thing, has plenty parking rear of and easy to hide a bike in the shadows

Late to the party but it might stop Ricky and his illiterate mates starting yet another unnecessary thread...

The Roundabout Hotel, any carpet salesmen in the area ?
