You come to the party a bit late ,but heyho,I know we all like pics
What started out as a service soon turned to shit.
The bike had had a hard life,so it was decided that we would fit a new clutch.
However the bike wanted to put up a fight and two of the m12 subframe bolts sheared when trying to remove them.
After much pondering I decided it best to remove the motor to enable the engine to be split to MILL the sheared bolts out.
This may seem drastic but any mistakes removing the bolts would end up with a scrapped engine.
Things got worse when the front frame section securing bolt which passes all of the way through the motor was also stuck solid,so we had to jack the frame apart slightly and cut the bolt to allow engine removal
Here is our start point.
The short engine is rebuilt, all was good inside,
R/h engine side rebuilt, with new rings etc, just waiting on l/h cylinder head coming back from Chris, aka mistacat as the exhaust studs snapped on removal so they needed machining as well.
