Norton Commando 850mk3....coming back to life...

Brilliant thread I was late to this , but Im in, also good Andy did a similar job recently so can chip in some humour and advice.

You mean take the piss mercilessly?

I’ll always point out where I failed miserably because even though I think self praise is pointless self abuse is great.

I got that right didn’t I?

Gearbox also gone in today, I still have to torque the main shaft nut,the whole bike nearly fell off the stand when I tried to. Best get some help to do that. Even managed a drink before I finished..........:D :beerjug:
I best come on over then and help you drink that there red.....soz I mean help you support the bike.:green gri

Wheels are ready, tyres go on tomorrow.......

What's the finish on the yokes (it's a bit hard to tell on my phone), are they painted? Whatever, it looks good :thumb2

I love that front end. That’s proper engineering right there. Are those Borrani rims?

I wish........ can’t get hold those now. I got these from central wheel. Decent quality:thumb

Well they had me fooled, look really good.

I would have rechromed the original Dunlop rims but it was cheaper to get these flanged alloys, and like I said the quality is pretty good.
