701 long range anyone ?

You’ve surfaced!

Time for photos 😀

These are the only ones I have.

The lead times, for me it was exactly 1 month from order to delivery.

As for installation, it took me all weekend to install, I made a couple of modifications and I'm very happy with the end result. It looks far better in the metal than on the photos:D

that's brilliant . even though I sold mine so soon (for various reasons) the 701 is still one of my favourite bikes ive owned. I hope you have a lot of fun on it. is your trip to get the seat still on or cancelled atm ?

My Renazco seat is arriving any day from USA. (I took the donor seat over end of March).
It arrived in UK three days ago so expecting it any day.But I’m flying over tomorrow as working at the weekend so probably won’t get it till I’m back next week.
Spoke to Mike at Nomad Adv today and I should be able to order their kit by next week as they are just awaiting the final bits to arrive.
Then will fit it myself with the help of a more clued up mate.

that's good, im sure it will go together easy enough best of luck and fingers crossed you'll be able to get away on it. :thumb

Finally home so got to unpack and fit my Renazco seat.
It’s much heavier and more substantial than the OE seat.

It’s a bit deeper/taller but very similar to sit on with regard to feet touching floor etc, which is good as I didn’t want it taller.

Feels just like the Renazco seat on my 950SE so hopefully all day comfortable.

Shame I cant try it but just back from the most virus-riddled country in Europe so under self-isolation for 14 days.

Thats a cracker nice colour blue . I had one on my old 950 adv, it was brown but comfy and the suede is very tactile and not sticky and sweaty like stock seats.

Thanks.
Yup I’m very pleased with it.
Even better, just had an email from Mike at Nomad Adv saying their website is updated to include the 701 LR so I’ve just pulled the trigger and ordered a pile of stuff.

Hopefully should look something like this when done

Hope you get better service than I did, had to wait 3 months for a low mudguard conversion for my 701, several e mails and finally telephone answer message left, .
Fantastic kit but customer service not one of their better virtues:rob

Well that’s not my experience !
I spoke to Mike a few weeks ago and he promised to email me when the website was updated.
I checked yesterday and it wasn’t and happened to check again today to find it done.
Before I’d even finished placing my order , Mike emailed me to say the website was updated.
I replied once I’d finished the order to check on availability etc and he said he should be able to dispatch everything apart from luggage racks next week and the rest will be a further 2 weeks .
I call that good service.....so far....

Just had this delivered.Colours work well with Husky !

Reduced to a mere £129 at Sportsbikeshop..

Wasn't it you who said on another thread recently that you couldn't understand people who bought gear to match their bikes?:D
