Do they still do , the drink driving ?My local. Nothing to recommend it other than friendly owner and excellent cheap food (four courses, wine and coffee included €14). Drop in for a coffee in the morning or join the local tradesmen and van drivers for an 8 AM beer or peti' blanc. The afternoon crowd tend to be long-term unemployed and victims of agricultural accidents. Bit like the Cantina scene from Star Wars, but with fewer digits.
I watched ( while I was lunching) the driver of an LPG gas delivery truck come in for lunch , he scoffed a 1 litre carafe of red with it , we reckoned he was going off shift and would have a kip in the cab , not a bit of it , straight up and away
