None of the usual “Here we are, in the sun, the views are stunning....” we can all find those. What we want is the ordinary, day-to-day bar, which you’ve enjoyed, even if it had a hole in the ground bog. One tip, never, ever, drop your keys!

I’ll start:

In Liart. So wonderful, I have stopped there many times

If it also doubles up as the bookie’s (PMU) gain extra points.

PS Spain and Belgium, too. In fact anywhere where a bar has set itself apart for that ‘special moment’....

I'd love to add to your thread but I don't really frequent bars (unless they're recommended from a respected fellow tosser on here).

I have, however, tried to frequent the "Black & Orange" bike bar in Solden, Austria twice and it was closed on both occasions!

Le Kapittel, St Menehould.

Pre ‘session’.....:jager

Although Nutty has just found the 'over proof' rum....:green gri

Judging by the state of me, I’d say that was well into the session! :D

Entre Terre et Mer, Marquise (Fr).

Food was awesome despite the exterior .

L’Edito, Valenciennes (Fr).

This is where I had a Cappoo whilst his nibs was sorting out his gizmo...this day gave birth to ‘Nuttys Law’ .

And the BMW dealership where the tragic news was delivered...” Yes sir, we can update your sat nav....it’ll take approx 6 hours!!”

My local. Nothing to recommend it other than friendly owner and excellent cheap food (four courses, wine and coffee included €14). Drop in for a coffee in the morning or join the local tradesmen and van drivers for an 8 AM beer or peti' blanc. The afternoon crowd tend to be long-term unemployed and victims of agricultural accidents. Bit like the Cantina scene from Star Wars, but with fewer digits.

Not a bar but a very nice restaurant, Serravalle near Asti, it’s a converted rail station

We ate there on our way back from Tuscany in 2014, must have been a long day because Wifey looks a bit tired
