I currently have a R1200GSA sitting in the garage and am looking at something to keep it company.

I think that I want a Royal Enfield BULLET TRIALS WORKS REPLICA - 500 - am I mad?

My thinking is that I could buy a new / nearly new machine for not a lot of money and it just seems so different. I also have a 1961 BSA A7 Shooting Star in my parents garage which only comes out on high days and holidays and the Royal Enfield seems to be about the closest modern thing I can find to match with that.

Is a Royal Enfield really practical for someone who is 6'3"?

Thanks

Nigel

Might be worth contacting Magwa ( Steve) on here he has had a RE and could tell you how easy they are to live with.

Not mad...but definitely try one out...even a cheap bike is an expensive mistake if you can't/don't ride it.

Get one they are great,

My Bullet 500 always looked a bit small when I was riding it (I was 6ft back then), but couldn't fault it for being comfortable. If you enjoy getting your hands oily with the BSA you'll enjoy the upkeep of a Royal Enfield.
