Which garmin ?

Looking at buying a satnav
Torn between the XT and the 595

Not much difference price wise so which one should i get

Please dont tell me to get a Tom Tom as i actually like the way Garmin and basecamp works

God fecking awful things, I gave up long ago and went Tom Tom, soooooo much nicer to use...........

Just got myself an XT and it's good kit with a few more tweeks over the 595 but, i do have my 590 upgraded to a 595 with the bike and car mounts for sale. Just getting it all ready to go in the for sale section. :augie

Yes, Helmet City were doing 20% off and that's why i bought, it's gone up now but still a good price just not as good. Sportsbikeshop are doing it at the same price too.

They have changed quite a bit now. On device route planning is much easier on the 595 and XT :thumb2

i was very happy having given up on the whole sat nav thing when i got the hyper but i feel i will need on for my Romanian odyssey particularly as the bloke that's coming with me said dont worry we'll google map it

I never did have a problem with the Garmin thing i always found it very easy to use

I have just sold my 595 and got an XT, the 595 is relatively old tech. now & the screen really shows it. My 595 had the dreaded battery problem where it lasted about 10 mins. if you were lucky, truly shocking on a unit cost over £400.

Do yourself a favour & get an XT, they are such a good unit by comparison & bang up to date. Deal here, cheaper than most 595's - https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_search?s=garmin+xt
