Hi,how much lower are the factory lowered gs 1200 compared to the standard height, also is it only the suspension that is lowered or is it the frame itself , im looking a lowered one it says low chassis so looking some more information, thanks
There is no low chassis, all the lowering is done via the suspension.
Lowered 30mm front - & 30mm rear - Low centre, & side stands & if required seating -
You have to have ESA to get factory low as they use the auto suspension to assist damping etc
If you want, you can buy a non ESA bike change to a 30mm lowered wilburs front & rear , low centre and side stand and you have effectively a factory low bike
If you buy a hexhead, (pre LC) fit the low seat, & fit 30mm lowered Wilburs front and rear & lower centre and side stand, you will have a seat height of 790mm
If you buy an LC factory low - 30mm lowered suspension F&R by electronic means, low side & centre stand and a low seat you will have a seat height of 820mm ??
They made the bike / seat wider, so any gains in lowering, are lost in width. you then need low seat bobbins & an ultra low seat 790/800mm
The frame/ chassis is the same for all bikes,
