Anybody got any recent experience of a Non Fault claim via Carol Nash.

I called CN to report minor Non fault claim this afternoon and expected them to report it to my insurance company Aegis.

Hour later I get a call from their repair centre 4th Dimension Innovation asking me how I'd like to handle the claim.

4th Dimension Innovation don't represent Aegis but they do appear to work for CN on Non fault claims where costs are re-couped from 3rd party without going through my ins company.

Anybody used them or should the ins company be contacted seperately and ignore 4th Dimension Innovation?

It's not been a great day so be gentle.

Had couple of No Fault claims with car. had to report the event to my insurance company and they then interacted with the 3rd party insurance company and THEN couple of weeks later it was decided that i was not at fault and that my vehicle was repaired at no cost to me inc no excess payment contribution and no future effect on my NCB. Good luck!

I wouldn't use 4th Dimension.

I had a claim on my old Blackbird and they were the most elusive company I've had the misfortune of dealing with.

They tried to convince me that the bodywork panels used by Honda France were of a poorer standard the bikes sold by Honda UK - and that was why they tried to insist they repaired my scraped bodywork.

They do not have a good reputation, either for speed of repairs, response times, they denied that their work on my friends KTM would invalidate her warranty, they can/will try and use second hand parts. Will push heavily for you to take replacement transport, all you will be seen as is a cash cow. Do not under any circumstances let them get their hands on your bike.

If you have no injuries and it is a straight forward accident damage, it can be easier/quicker dealing with the 3rd party insurers direct (especially as fault isn't in dispute). They will want to get it repaired as quickly as possible, it helps to speed up the process (makes life easier for them to say yes) if you have a couple of quotes for repair (which you can email over, along with pictures of any damage), or if you have a specific dealer in mind (they've serviced it from new for example).

Personally I wouldn't touch a claims management company with a 10ft barge pole (metrication isn't available).

I hope you get it resolved quickly and to your satisfaction.

If you have suffered any personal injury, go to a specialist solicitor with experience of motorcycle injuries, rather than any provided by your insurer/broker/claims company

Thanks for the responses.
I've conatcted my ins company Ageas directly so will see what they offer tomorrow.

I certainly won't be using 4th Dimension Innovation.

The other claims company I've been recommended is McAMS.

DO NOT use 4th Dimension ,couple of mates had loads of sh*t with them and I just found out last week another lad I know has had his bike whisked away to 4th Dimension, because of a cracked rear light cluster and numberplate light. left him a non functioning loan bike and promised a 7 day turnaround

When two days later he rings them about the loan bike he is told repairs will take between 8 to 12 weeks for a job the local yamaha dealer reckons will be about 2 hours labour maximum

Bunch of shysters.

I am with CN and it is noted down on my file that under no circumstances will any of my bikes be going to 4th Dimension if they are involved in a claim

That is worth knowing. When my renewal comes up I shall insist on the same being noted. I am not ringng for them to add it to my file now and being charged £40 for the privilidge!

Thankfully, I got great advice from the collective on here and didn't allow my bike to be recovered from the Police pound to 4th Dimension (they must have a special deal with the insurance companies) and instead had it recovered to my neighbour's garage here at home, well next door.. the first thing they wanted to know was how much the storage charges were going to be. They also tried to tell me that my recovery didn't work unless it went to their approved repairer.. I asked them to show me where in my policy documentation it states that.... YOU decide where it goes, there is no restriction on 'approved repairer only'.

After my accident in January my bike was recovered to 4th Dimension where it was subsequently stolen. Their legal department is handling my injury claim, where the third party insurer (Allianz) has admitted liability.

Stolen?

Inside job?

Reckon so (but not my 20 year-old Gilera, which had a head-on with a lorry wheel at 50mph).
Six blokes with a van turned up at the yard after dark and cut the wall of the facility away with angle grinders and took everything. Luckily for me, the loss adjuster had already examined my bike and agree with my valuation. I imagine if he hadn't been, there would have been a much longer "discussion"

Funny old world.
Some years ago I had a nasty smash on my 1200 gs ,which was taken to 4th Dimensions.
I had excellent service from them and had regular updates on the repair .!:nenau

I would not recommend letting an accident management company get involved.

I was with Bennets and suffered a no fault accident (car reversed into me) luckily all on camera including the driver apologising and saying totally his fault.
Cut and dried?? Bennets wanted to punt me off to an claims company and when I refused they advised me to contact my own insurance co!
Ended up talking to his ins co who then put me through to their accident management company (might actually have been the same one!)
The guy was an idiot - couldn't even work out VAT on a given figure, tried to settle less VAT which they would then pay if I gave proof of my purchases for repairs!

I would take Tractor's 10 footer and double it, avoid at all costs, they see you as a way of making money by inflating any and all aspects of an accident.

Took the bike to a local garage where I bought it.

I’m not letting any claims company near it.

It’s a funny old world when insurance price/cost increases appear to be Partially fuelled By the very companies that Provide it.
It’s also strange that my ins company actually quoted better terms than the broker ie NCB and policy excess.
Looks like CN add on their cut to the policy excess.

I have only ever had one claim for my bike. It was knocked over while parked up at BSB Knockhill. The person who did it left me their number on my bike and i phoned them and they admitted liability. So next day i contacted Ecosse in Aberdeen , my nearest Honda dealer and let them have the bike too repair. I decided where it went and not any management company. They are nothing but ambulance chasers and out for a fast buck. Incidentaly the repairs amounted to £2500  The bike was brand new and on its first outing. VFR V-tec 09.

Well spoke today with the lad whose bike was sent down there for a broken rear light and number plate light, 4th Dimension swapped over the knackered loan bike (apparently they are charging the offending drivers insurance company £120 per day for the loan bike and £20 odd per day storage fees .

So what should have been a claim costing a few hundred pounds will probably end up costing into the thousands, no f*cking wonder premiums are constantly rising

A mate of mine worked at 4th Dimension for about 8 years. They sell lots of damaged bikes and parts on e-bay. They had a Triumph Bobber listed last summer that was listed as having minimal damage and at what appeared to be a bargain price. I had all the parts needed to repair the bike sat in a box in my shed so I called my mate and asked him what they were like as a company to deal with. His advice to me was not to touch them with a barge pole. He also suggested that any bike they sell is likely to be considerably more damaged than they were claiming. Bunch of shysters was his final word on the matter :augie

Customer of mine had his bike repaired through his insurance, new parts fitted.
He brought it around to me as he was concerned about the parts that had been fitted.
He had also asked for an itemised receipt (which they were reluctant to provide saying it's only provided to the insurance company) so he could show any prospective future buyer that it had been repaired professionally.
The new parts were all in fact used parts that had been resprayed, re-powder coated etc etc.
He went back to them and pointed out what they'd done.
The result was he walked away with a cheque made out to him for £800.

I've heard numerous stories along those lines. My neighbour is a fine example.
Very minor damage to his bike, two hours work at most simply replacing a couple of new parts for damaged items.

Told them he didn't need a loan/hire bike as he had a second bike and anyway only used his bikes for holidays and rallies etc, and he had none coming up in the near future..
Result was he had a Honda VFR dropped off, which sat in his garage for 10 weeks, not used.
They were charging £100 a day for the hire bike.
