Nice route from Brecon to Aberaeron via Upper Chapel, Garth (as mentioned above), Abergwesyn, Tregaron and Penant.

Seaside camping at https://goo.gl/maps/nUj7HvbVPbvrQahUA with a short walk into town. Nice chippy in the harbour or a few pubs and restaurants.

A483 Beulah then the back road Abergwesyn, Devils stair case, past the llyn Brianne reservoir and down to Llandovery. Owls nest is a decent watering hole, will be up around there myself on Sunday.

Well we’ve been back a week so I guess it’s time to get this thing started..
What a bloody brilliant trip that was.. Only a short one 4 nights camping each night with a view of taking in the Brecons National Park as well as Snowdonia. The weather couldn’t have been any better, blue skys and open vents was the order of the day and Wales didn’t disappoint..
So we set off from Windsor on the morning of Sunday 13th Sep. No motorway riding just back roads planned and within 3-4 hours we’d find ourselves in Wales. First night the aim was to stay at a campsite in Pencilli (Pencilli Castle Caravan and Camping Park:thumb2) that Ty has used several times.
We arrived in good time and soon had the tents up with plenty of time left for a wander down to the local for a few pints... It was soon obvious that we weren’t the only ones using this week as a chance to get away.....

We had a great first night under the stars, very little light pollution and with the help of Jack we watched satellites floating across the night sky whilst listening to the deep snoring of Jon who was feeling a little under the weather and needed sleep...
I have to say the campsite was great, really good facilities, clean and friendly owners who couldn’t do enough for us. I would highly recommend it... So, the following morning it was an early start and we again woke to blue skys and sunshine. After packing up we set off for Brecon (10 mins away) for a coffee and panini at Costa to help plan our next move...
The plan for the day was developed and we soon saw ourselves heading through the national park riding some interesting single track roads heading towards the Pen-Y-Fan.

After visiting the Story Arms and Pen-Y-Fan we decided to start heading West towards the coast. We had a rough route planned and wanted to stay at one of the recommended campsites at Aberaeron for the night. On the way we rode via the Llyn Brianne reservoir and the Devils Staircase which were great roads to ride, had a few close calls with white van drivers but nothing too scary. Great days riding and we were soon at Aberaeron looking for a decent site to pitch the tents... Unfortunately the campsite recommended earlier in this thread were not taking tents as they hadn’t opened their shower or toilet blocks. The campsite next to them simply said no to us when we arrived so we ended up in a site over looking the coast in New Quay, it was expensive for what it was but worked for us anyway....

So, after a fairly uneventful night on the coast, well, depends on your definition of uneventful.... Watching Jon fall over due to Jack D doing his thing and then getting full on cramp on the floor was most entertaining for Ty and myself...
Again the following morning we awoke to clear skies and sunshine. We didn’t hang around as we all had a hankering for a cooked breakfast so we headed off to New Quay and had parked the bikes up in the town for 0900.
New Quay is one of those small pretty Welsh seaside towns that offers boat rides to see dolphins and has a few bars and restaurants. On the first ride through the chaps parked their bikes outside a shop that had a no parking sign outside. When I highlighted it to the boys, Jon managed to drop his GSA as he though he had put the side stand down and hadn’t.. Lucky for him I didn’t manage to get the phone out quick enough for evidence purposes but he again provided us with much laughter....

The plan for today was to head to Snowdonia national park following coast and country roads. The previous night Jon had booked us into the Snowdon Basecamp camp site which was to be our final campsite for the remainder of our trip. We booked in 2 nights as we wanted to explore the beauty of the Snowdonia region and ride the stunning roads..
It was a fairly uneventful ride to the campsite and we didn’t stop too much as it seemed everyone who owned a wobblybox or a disabled badge was heading the same way as us! However once we arrived the views of Snowdon and the lake in the campsite were stunning.. Only downside of the campsite is that they don’t allow any vehicles (including bikes) on the fields. We only found that out a little later, no real issue though as the car park is away from the main road and prying eyes and they have barrows available to take all your gear with you...

Less words from here on in, I’ll let the pics do the talking,,,
