West Bay ( Bridport ) next..

And for me a sad decision was made..

I had 11 superb, safe days away.
That bearing in mind the pandemic & my infection risks was way more than I could of ever hoped for.
But the amount if traffic & people.
Means it's time to head homewards.

Not one regret, but you have 2 know when to call time on some things.

So ill end my siteseeing Covid adventure in Weymouth Dorset.
My next stop..

I still call Dorsetshire home eventhough I've been away longer than I spent there..;)

Piccy no 2 - more empty cruise ships sit in weymouth Harbour..
Up 2 10 cruise liners sit with just skeleton crews..

Total mileage over the 11 days were 1152
Fuel costs over the 11 days were £139.54
I starred with 1/4 of a tank
Finnished with 1/4 of a tank ( approximately )

Site fees = zero... :JB
Total meals out costs = zero... :)
Bottled watter costs 10 X .67p :D
Parking fees = zero

However I did have some breakdowns....

My walking stick Ferrols wore out, emergency replacements purchased in Bude. :rob
My boots tread wore out, replacement boots in stock at home :D
Piccies 1&2

As I've been on a diet / controlled intake.
All food other than a few treats over the first weekend were prepared in my van.
Including weighing my food.
Chicken salad. ( See piccies ) ( on an 8" plate ) :fnikefork
Fat free yogurt & fresh pineapple
Piccies 3,4,5

All these stunning pictures were taken by a Samsung galaxy S8, as Ash & expensive camera's don't mix. ( I drop everything ) :tears

Only 3 hours rain one day out of the eleven I was away.

How that happened I can only put it down to my God fearing & clean living.
The sun shines on the rightious ( Matthew 5:44-45 ) :D

I couldn't give a flying fart about my spelling, incorrect position of full stops, capital letters, comma's etc..
Pictures in the wrong order or any other feck up.. .

Its a lighthearted trip report in my usual vane..

It shouldn't be taken as gospal or seriously.
The only fing I do seriously is my medical conditions.
( and trying to retain my driving licence )
but viewed in the manner in which its intended..

I had a great time away & attempting to post it on here..

I hope you enjoy reading my trip report.

Ash

Fanks luv..
Funny fing is I wasn't going to go to the weekend camp, what with me smashing mysen & my bike up in March.
Plus Covid, add the van with no MOT.
I thought it wouldn't be possible.
But Bill the organiser of the camp said " I know you'll come if you can Ash "
And unbeknownst to him, that spurned me on to scramble my arse in gear..

Thank goodness he did..
Otherwise I probably would of made an excuse.
Albeit maybe a valid one...

Its so easy sometimes - not too...

Ash..

:thumb

Feck knows where unbeknownst came from.. :D

Looks like you had a good trip, I live in Exmouth, and every day week this the beach has been rammed with large groups of youngsters, the cruise ships have given the trip boats a new opportunity this year with the added bonus of more Dolphins around as well.

Al.

Great trip report Ash; we are usually down at Hartland for the hill climbing late in the year; and always have drive around the areas down that way; unfortunately the racing is off this year; but you may have just inspired me to get down that way regardless. All the best;:beerjug:

We always have good weather at Dent Ash, always :thumby:

Keep on keeping on :kissy2

Nice one Ash, what make are those ferrules? They look quite an aggressive off road tread pattern. Do they drone on asphalt?

Great stuff, Ash. :thumb

I enjoyed that, and have only been to Devon once before (a few years ago, to Seaton and Beer .... to visit the Pecorama model railway world, which was a childhood wish), but seeing your photos has got a return trip hatching.

Thanks for the inspiration and the great pics. :beerjug:

P.S. Your "scran au van" looked rather nice. :fnikefork

Ash, thanks for taking the time to post up your trip. Looks like you were blessed with the weather. Well done on all counts and especially your weight loss fella. The van looks good and well looked after. Hopefully will see you in Dent 2021 :thumby:
