Operation Emerald Escape

Day 3

Wake up to............

Dry and Sunny, result.

Head off to look at the Uni in Maynooth where I used to stay. Lovely place.

Then SE through Kill and the Lakes and Hills to coast out at Arklow.

Fantastic roads and great scenery, v much like the Scottish Highlands.

A bit of mist at the highest points but heated grips and seats made it a breeze :)
That run makes up the majority of the kms racked up on any of the bikes I own.

Great roads for riding.

S20 5G sent this......

A pitstop for a machine coffee in Tescos, drank underneath the stairs leading to the bogs, who says romance is dead :)

Onwards and a quick time and motion study suggests that Waterford would be a good place to stop over, first however we need to blatt round the coast and route via Wexford...........

Onwards to Wexford.

I spot a small inlet with ferry crossing on sat nav.

I always like ferries.

Each one is a gateway to another adventure..... no matter how small.

I relay this to Tracy and she says

“stop being a soft arse and just get on with it”

Fair point, I swing over a hill and presto, the little ferry is just docking on our side (east).

I ooze a tiny bit of sex piss, and ride aboard...... an epic voyage starts............

The Epic Ballyhack crossing has been done..............

No Bel Vista Biscuits were harmed in the making of this one? ?

So into Wexford and very pretty it is too.

As it was take out only we have a brew at the harbour and spend a very pleasant hour mooching about with the bike parked up and a very helpful cafe looking after our kit.

Not far to Waterford and I’m anticipating the route being lovely.

Hotel is right in town and has parking so should be cool.

Weather still blue skies and 14 deg so back of the net all round

So into Waterford we roll.

I have a moment of recall, I routed through here on way to a HUBB thing years ago, recognise the cliffs on the other side of the river.

I’m reminded of when someone nicked my very nice camping towel I’d had for years, cocksucker.

I hope you dried your face with it first as I usually finish up by drying my arse so maybe a little karma there .....

Anyway the hotel is right in town so park up, shower and head in for a coffee and bumble......

As we sit down in the town square for coffee the heavens open and it pisses down for 15 mins, lucky timing as my throttle control is about as good as my spelin.
