I fancy this too, but my missus wasn't too enamoured with Tenerife when we went in March, even up on Mt Teide, and she said Gran Canaria looked the same when she saw Henry Cole's show
The missus changed her mind when she saw the cheap Jet2 prices in December, so we spent four nights in Gran Canaria after Xmas. I'm glad she did as it's a fantastic island and much better than Tenerife for the variety of roads and scenery
