Looks like a Varadildo

Farcanal

Any idea where that is supposed to be from? I see it's got the smaller twin's fuel tank but those wheels look well dodge (too small proportionally to the rest of the bike?) and the silencer's lovely isn't it, I'd rather have an Akra than that POS :D

Here's one of the better 'spy' shots; a lot of similarities but also subtle differences (eg the frame tubes on the frame/subframe). I 'spy' shot looks pretty production ready so I'd be inclined to go with that than the OP. Still doesn't look great though, looks bloated like a modern GS...............

Glad I have the iconic 1190R ;)

The designers must've been hungover

Am toying with a new bike next year, and it won't be a 1290 SA-S :D

Interesting to hear you both say that....curious to know why you think that.

Am coming up to 4 years owning it and it has been a gem to ride; just fancy a change...:D

Dunno .
I rode a demo of yours when it came out .
I just prefer the colour and styling of yours to the S and Rs, plus you’ve got a bigger tank I think .

Bloody hell, that’s hideous! :barf

KTM aren’t known for making the most attractive of bikes, but that is fucking awful.

SA-T has the 30 litre tank but still the old style wind screen which I could not get on with (put one on my 1190S).

I am still loving my 1290 SAS which will need it's first MOT shortly - not bought a new bike for nearly 3 years which is unheard of for me

As to the new one - lets see what it really looks like in he flesh ;)

You’ll be saying that about Ducati next year when you move on yet again :)

I’ve already said that the new V4 looks awful. ;)

The new Monster isn’t much better.

Combination of big tank, ridiculous power, great torque, nice rider aids and comfy setup if you have ergo seats. Also it’s tall which I like. Unfortunately I couldn’t get a screen that worked for me. Nothing out there does it quite as well for me as the SA-T.

I love my 1290S, and I loved my 1190S before that. Will need to see new one in the flesh, but I am not too bothered about looks as I want a bike that is great for the riding I do, rather than one that is great for driving around town and looking at my reflection in shop windows.

With my post pandemic finances and the governments war on the self employed it really does not matter how well it looks and rides as I suspect I will have to hang on to the 1290S for a good few years now, and then buy some cheapo jap bike when it finally wears out, although with KTM you never know when they might have some leftover stock they are desperate to shift and the latest 1290 will be selling for less than a T700.

Looks like a bad drawing to me, a few subtle fuck ups possibly don’t show it in the best light as in the second actual photo looks Ok.

Headlight area too flat, forks too long, headlight area not parallel to forks where they appear to be on the photo version, wheels a bit out (too small?) A very bad representation of it imo.

Still gonna look pretty shit though.
