Santa came early for me on Sunday, I picked my new Metisse frame kit, I’ve done three airheads so I fancied a change. I was given a couple of XS650 engines so decided to build a Metisse. The photo of the finished bike is what mine should look like.

I’m jealous on many levels

Time
Skills
Opportunity

Hoping you will post with regular progress

Nice and with the Yam engine, super-dooper.:thumb2

Do Metisse frames come with Triumph-specific engine mounts that you need to work around, or can you buy a Yamaha-specific frame?

Can't wait to see this build, those are such handsome engines.

Dry nice. Bakerman let me ride his Triumph engined one...I was very careful

I was less careful :D let's hope then engine on this bike hasn't been thrown together like on some of their other 'classics!

Lovely, they’re just down the road from me. I must pop down and have a look.

Is that the Steve McQueen desert racer?

The frame is built to take the XS engine, no oil in frame, and specific engine mounts.

It’s not a McQueen bike ,more like a what he would have built using a Japanese engine.
