Nav screen replacement

Hi,
My Nav 6 screen has developed some internal cracks, that can not be felt on screen. The LCD is working / showing just fine.
When i touch the screen nothing happens
Is it possible to just replace the digitizer part and leave the LCD untouched, or do you need to replace both parts?
If you can just the digitizer, does anyone have instructions on how to do this.

Edit: I've just followed the eBay link to the screen part, he wants £99 for a refurbished one (i.e. removed from another faulty device on which the screen was OK)
It looks like you can't change the digitiser screen separately.
You may be able to get a new part, but you may struggle finding one with a search using the BMW Nav 6 brand name, I'm fairly sure one of the Garmin branded products will use the same screen, if you can find out which one, you may have more chance of finding a reasonably priced screen.
