Latest project..........Z1000A1

If I get time this weekend I will get them down and take some images. So difficult to part with Z bits especially irreplaceable stuff.

Cheers that would be grea:thumb

I know what you mean about parting with stuff, but always think it’s what it was made for and it’s good to see it being used:thumb

It amazes me how patient guys are that do this stuff. Keeps you in the shed though

As promised

Here’s The A2 tank

Both tanks stored correctly very very rare to find in original factory colours unused this is the first time I’ve had them out of the boxes in probably 10 years.

Johno

Please PM me your mobile number I can then give you a call to discuss this. But without wishing to put you off I’m sure you will appreciate this will not by any means be a cheap tank. Zpower do repro tanks at £325 in primer then add in the cost of a top end paint job.
You still have a repro repainted tank not the holy grail original factory painted OEM item. Really depends on to what level you intend finishing the bike, if it’s just a nice classic “rider” or if it needs to be as close to original as is possible. I bought the two tanks the same year I bought this 900 A4, 2001 IIRC, the bike cost me £1450 and a few months later I paid 2 thirds of that for the two tanks a lot of money at the time but I believed that I would never have a chance to buy another OEM NOS tank again, I was right I have never seen another offered for sale since. ( my youngest on the A4 he’s now 28 I’d just finished restoring it, time fly's by)
