That looks really nice (I'm not a big fan of Triumphs normally) and with that power and weight I'd much rather have one than the V4 Ducati thing :)

Why do they bother with the pillion pegs ,

I'm a Triumph fan, I've had a Speed Triple (2011) and have a Street Triple R now. This looks great but all that power and potential, away from the Track and on public roads, is likely to be used by few and for a few seconds at a time, if that, and never for most. I opted for the Triple R because the RS is too track focussed and is spine shattering over anything more than a thinly painted white line! Having said that, I scratched the itch of a big naked 10 years ago and can see the attraction to many of having that monstrous amount of power at your fingertips in a really good looking package, which is where these big nakeds find a market.

I shall take one out for a Demo but won't be buying one as I'm quiet fond of my license

As I’m guessing you’re no longer a teenager, could you not exercise some self-control ? :hippy

I'm sadly no longer a teenager either but some bikes seem to be able to override my normally fairly sensible side and I end up riding like a fool.

Some bikes are just like that. Ask a KTM rider. And “I’m sorry officer, the bike made me do it” isn’t a great line.
