The Dordogne and Bergerac are popular destinations, so I thought it worthwhile including them here. The routes are downloadable as GPS files (two euro each) or create your own version, using the excellent maps.

It's a lovely part of France.

All things being equal, I have planned a MoHo trip to Castelnaud in June.

Dotting around in Tourenfahrer (you really can’t break it) I came across what looks like a pretty nice route to join eastern France (Mulhouse) to the western lower region of France (Dordogne) or - more exactly - to the equally excellent, Lot region, which is just beneath the Dordogne.

Anyone coming from Calais / the North Sea ports could (instead of heading west along the coast and then down past Le Mans) could head near enough due south to Mulhouse and then head west-south-west down to the Dordogne / Lot. All it requires is a bit of imagination.

Download the GPX files (by spending two euro) or use the map of the route.

Thanks Wapping. I have a visit to make there this year, all being well. :thumby: I just know come the time I’ll be asking myself: “Where did I see the maps for....” :D

Love route2, it goes about a kilometre away from my house. I ride those roads at east once a week and was out today in the warm (18c) sunshine. There are a thousand little places near those routes which tourists never find. Give me a shout if you are in this area.
There is no restriction on going out on the bike here at the moment.

Thank you. A great place to live.

I stayed in Le Bugue once, near enough where routes 1,2 and 3 combine. Then a couple of weeks in Domme, where we rented a house.
