Blackheads

I had the valve covers off for a service check,
Decided to try the black look,
I had the aluminium gs head protectors on,
Wanted to go for something less rugged, with it being the standard R9t,
Going to try the plastic protectors similar to rt , r 1200

I did want them to blend in a bit more,
Like many, just getting on with stuff while we cant go anywhere,
The alloy gs head protectors were a carry over from having so many gs/gsa over the years,
Moving back towards the roadster look by peeling the armour off,
I was surprised how different it looks in black,

I've been thinking of this. Had all the bling with loud exhaust,hump etc and slowly going less bling more black. I've done a few things while the weather has been so bad but never had the room to stand back and have a proper look so i hope i like it . I might try and get it out tomoz if i can be bothered to move all the mowers :blast

There is a local powder coaters,
But with covid etc , and it was spur of the moment i used rattle can bmw black over the original paint,
The halfords black is gloss, i put the clearcoat over it for extra durability,
When i bought the bike they were fitting the rugged metal head protectors, so i had them as a start instead of crash bars,
So swapping to the plastic ones for a stripped back look and a bit of drop protection,
