I’m looking to invest in a torque wrench- probably 2 to cover the normal sort of bike/car range of settings
I don’t mind paying for decent stuff and have quite a bit of snap-on etc, but I don’t earn my living with it, so probably looking for “next best”
Would prefer new and looking at Proxxon and Teng or maybe roebuck
Budget is realistically going to be 150-200 ish
Anyone got any recommendations for me? Brands or suppliers
Couldn’t find a more relevant part of the forum to post in....

Norbar are quite common in the trade/factories can be picked up on ebay reasonably priced have a 60-300nm one been using without issue. Halfords advanced also worth a look

Have a look at Halfords professional range. I bought a 3/8th drive one and it had a calibration cert with it. After 5 years of light use, Just on the bikes. I took it into the workshop calibration room and tried it. Still spot on using a torque meter.

Another vote for Norbar. Old-established, industry-standard, supplied with a calibration certificate and easy to send back to Norbar for recalibration. :thumb

+1 for Norbar,
I also have a digital adapter off ebay, pretty accurate wide range and compact,

Halfords professional torque wrenches are actually manufactured by Norbar

I didn't know that, but it does explain why they are so good value. Lifetime warranty as well.

Thanks for all the recommendations chaps
Finally bought 2 torque wrenches....
Both from prime tools, who I’d recommend highly,
First a Teng 1/2 drive with 40-200 nm range
And a sealey premier 1/4 drive with 5-25nm range (typically up to m8)
Both were on offer (sealey is lovely and certificated at under £40
Well pleased
