Hi all.
I am looking at getting some sort of dry bag to strap on the back of my 750GS. It’s not worth me getting any luggage for the bike as I will never really use it, I did think about a top box only as it would be handy for my helmet when I stop but I don’t know if it’s worth the cost. I’ve got a Givi rucksack which is great but it’s not fully waterproof and I put some heavy things in it some times like ice skates but obviously not at the moment. I am hoping that at some point in the future to do an overnight or may be a 2 night outing with friends,so I’m looking for something to strap to the back of the bike. Lomo are a company that make sailing waterproof bags that are great value and very good quality.
Has anyone tried one or got any other suggestions and 30 or 40L or bigger.
May be I should splash out on the top box but as the bags are only between £15 and £40 plus some straps that’s a big difference.

Thanks

Any bag will do. If it’s not waterproof off the shelf, shove a decent plastic bag in it or wrap your smells in a plastic bag and your shirt in another. Hold it on with bungee cords or similar.

For your helmet, just buy a suitable cable retractable lock or something similar from Abus.

Lomo, The end.

Edit* As I actually read all your post this time.

I have 2 x 40l and 1x 60l unquestionably the best bang for buck and I'll happily fight anyone behind the bike sheds after double PE if they say otherwise.

Lomo every time.

Excellent quality and great VFM (and I also have an ortlieb too but I prefer the Lomo)

Dry bag

Thanks
Sorry about the strange A with a line above for some reason this forum does it on certain letters no idea why
Looks like ordering Lomo
There’s a few which ones have people got apart from just size?

Oxford do a good range. I have a 30 ltr which is great. It’s a side opener and replaces an end opener which was awkward to find things in. It came with straps to tie it on the bike and overall is a cracking bit of kit for the money.

You have decided on a Lomo bag.

You have been told to get a bag that opens across its sides, not from its ends.

You now chose the size to suit yourself.

It really is that easy.

I have an unused 58l Givi Trekker dry bag, pm me if you're interested.

Aldi £10 is what I use in Iceland for extended trips.
One day I save up and buy the Enduristan bag, you won't find better.

Lomo 30L is big enough for clothes to tour for a week. I would not go bigger unless you've got camping gear etc. The 30 is physically quite a large bag anyway for a 30, compared to a Kriega or Ortlieb. Must be using special litres up there.

Touratech, Wunderlich ... made by Ortleib great bit o' kit.

Top loading. fold over, can leave it on the floor of a hotel room and just work out of it if required, Totally waterproof, done thousands and thousands of miles and still going strong :thumb2

Been using Lomo for years, never let me down. Have a couple of Ortlib as well, which are very good, but more expensive

My Aldi dry bag has stood the test and is still going strong. Won’t break the bank either.
