I tripped over this nifty little plug, socket and lead from Optimate, which is good for getting power into tank bags, top boxes or panniers.
You can either mount the socket in any pre-made hole or cut a suitably sized 14mm (9/16”) hole yourself. Tighten the retaining nut with a 19mm (3/4”) spanner. It is that easy.
