That is indeed interesting. With some significant engine mods it will be interesting to see how the crank, big ends, mains etc hold up.
 
Wow thats had some cash thrown at it , along with the single sided swingarm and all the engine mods its hard to work out what of the original GT remains. Sounds like a test mule commissioned by RE to explore the outer reaches of the bike. Those Marchesini wheels must be £2k all day long appx 30% of the new bikes value.

There are a lot of customised 650's out there. Indeed RE are, cannily, encouraging it with factory sponsored customs aplenty...............

They are also now involved in a one make flat track race series as well solo teams starting to use them (again all encouraged by RE).

Personally, IMHO, I don't think they make a good looking custom. They are nice bikes no doubt, but visually that engine case is so out of proportion with the top end it looks 'not quite right' on the standard bike but once you try and build something that's all about visual appeal you're onto a loser.....................
