Is it for the 'collection' or will you be offering it to a new home?

I’m undecided at the moment. I had been looking for a CS for quite a while before I found this one. I’m really happy with the way it’s turned out, the bike hadn’t been messed with too much prior to the rebuild and that always helps. I will probably have the summer out of it and take it from there.

The final update..

It’s always the same finishing off the bike waiting for the last little bits takes the longest time.
The LH switch on the handlebar was wrong so the lights, indicators and horn didn’t work properly. Thanks to Pidcocks BMW for getting me a new one for £86. The rear drive had an oil leak via the rear brake shaft, no surprise there, new O rings fitted. General faffing with the fairing, handlebars and headligh, got rid of the fiama horns……you get the idea.
It’s now been started, timing set, carbs balanced. So it’s done, subject to a few miles on road next spring.
Really pleased with how this one has come out, it was in pretty good shape before the rebuild and that’s come through to the final bike.

Looking closely at the detail, that really could have come straight from the showroom. So perfect, I'd hesitate to ride it. For a while...!

Is the boot around the gearbox end of the speedometer drive cable a revised part? It seems to seal better than the standard part I remember.

Paul, it’s just a new standard oem part on the original cable.

It's really bugging me but is the left hand foot peg rubber on the wrong side.? Shouldn't the BMW be the other way round?

Another quality rebuild Colin. Well done. :thumby:

Looking forward to seeing it.

Gerry
