So, normally I do lots of detective work before I buy another bike (prices/reliability/ blah blah). It can take me weeks to decide about a purchase.
Given that I havent even been near an Enfield in over 4 decades of "biking", and without given it too much thought, (and with some redundancy burning a hole in my pocket), yesterday I ordered one of the last remaining Royal Enfield "Military Modern Retro Classics" in the UK. I have no idea what I have done really. I think I just shrugged my shoulders and hit the "BUY" button.

Off at a tangent here but given I lost my father a short while ago, its the old cliche(s) for me at the moment. "Cant take it with you"/ "No pockets in shrouds" etc etc

It seems ok sar far . . .

200 miles and its true to say I have never had so much fun at 35mph . . .

I saw two of these at the Hastings May Date meet yesterday - very attractive and I have always fancied one myself but have the Himmy for now...

Somehow, because its underpowered and under braked (compared to my other stuff) and therefore, nearer the edge; It certainly makes things more exciting ! Love it

I’ll be out on mine as soon as I get home and to say I’m looking forward to it is a massive understatement. I’ve told the mob I’m working for that I want an answer tomorrow regarding whether I finish next Monday evening or if they’ll need me to stay on for another week or two but I will be home to use it for the DGR on the 23rd.

Enjoy the bike 😀

I'm sure you will enjoy the change of pace on the RE Andy, like a breath of fresh air .... although my Interceptor is capable of some sporty performance its not what riding these bikes is all about..... we have others for that
