Andres,is it here yet?

, the 'mobility' bit of the NHS really is a Cinderella part of it; great people with very limited resources. We'll get there though :thumb2

Indeed, I work with the NHS on a daily basis and as you say, great people doing their very best in a somewhat broken system!

Good luck with getting the new one to work for you, and then you can get back out on that rather lovely MSAB (or should it be BDB ;) of yours :thumb2

Hmmm, needs a low front mudguard and a big hill to climb ;)

I’ve not had a chance to give her a shakedown yet, possibly Sunday but most likely Monday the way things are panning out……..I’m guessing it’ll be fun though :)

Very nice - have you stuck with the standard Enduro 2 piston caliper/disc size or upgraded to the full SM 4 piston caliper and larger disc?

The wheels are Husky SM wheels and the front came with a dinner plate 320mm disc. The Husky SM has different fork legs and is fitted with a 4 pot monobloc caliper (serious stopping power!), the Enduro just has a normal 2 pot caliper.

I had intended using the 320mm disc and getting hold of a spacer bracket to move the 2 pot caliper out, pretty much standard practice on any SM conversion. It's proved to be impossible to get an off the shelf spacer so will have to have one made, not cheap as the proper way to do it is to replace half the caliper rather than just a 'spacer' (see photo).

So, for now, I'm running it with a 300mm Enduro disc which, to be fair, is pretty powerful...............I'll see how it goes before deciding which route to ultimately go down.

The other thing that's as yet undecided is gearing. I've gone from 46 to 45 teeth on the rear but am fairly sure that's gonna be too short geared so also have a 42 to try out.

I've still not ridden her yet and the way today is panning out it'll probably be tomorrow now before I get a chance :blast
