Be interested to see it in a few weeks time once it has evolved from its Chrysalis, has it’s wings on and is ready to fly like a precious butterfly.
Seriously. I do like them and health to enjoy!
Getting there
Important shit first:
Removal of big ugly dangly down mudguard thing, drill what's left and fit small illegal number plate ~ check.
Remove nearly 3kg of Euro5 silencer and fit anti-socially loud, light as a feather Ti silencer ~ check.
Now drilling holes in body work for the rack.......ever so slightly scary.............
Andres
Which rack did you go for ?
Drilling holes for my Nomad kit was a piece of piss because the areas that need drilling are already marked on the underneath of the plastics.
I’m pretty sure that most racks will use the same fitting points that are already in place on the rear frame.

.............Lastly, as an aside I went to weigh the stock silencer V the Wings last night; 2.9kg V 'wouldn't even register on the digi bathroom scales'
Andres
That just looks plain lovely.
Stuff still to do:
Get some decent hand guards.
Andres
KTM /Husky Power Parts hand guards seem to work well. I think they might just be repackaged Acerbis that might be even cheaper?
Worth fitting. 701 levers are £50+

Andres, there is a thread on ADVrider of an Ausie building one with the Aurora kit. He designed and build a pannier rack that bolts on behind the foot peg, at the rear rack (Perun) and looks like a sturdy frame. May give you an idea what you want.
I actually have it bookmarked

Andres - please explain how it is possible to have soooooo much fun when you are not even on the bestist bike in the whole wide world?
.......PS - you don’t need to explain really as I already know
Come on.
You know it needs another cylinder, a more comfy seat and Japanese reliability to make it the bestist MSAB in the world... ever!
