I'm guessing they are not as slim as the unheated grips?

I bought a set of Oxford 'Adventure' grips [1] which are 34mm v 31mm OD

[1] Why do Oxford do different 'named' grips, they all seem the same to me other than the pretty patterns moulded into the grips which are neither here not there :nenau

I myself, must *get a grip* and go and do some more on the bike. Mostly finished the service*, and now have to strip off the back end, grease the linkage and get the new spring and adjuster fitted to the shock.

*One exhaust shim a beeswing tight. Probably always been like that, but I swapped it out for one in spec at the loose end.

the SX ones are an element that just glues underneath the standard style grips albeit slighter larger to allow them to fit.

You can see it’s standard grips with the wires exiting and the switch they both use that plugs into the standard ACC plug

Would appear that the clutch lever are the same

Does anyone know whether you need a shock compressor to swap springs or if you can simply wind the adjuster out enough until slack?

Edit: Seems you do and I've found someone local to do it for me tomorrow. Race Labs in Bournemouth, just down the road :)

The guy at Race Lab was very good, but couldn't overcome the issue of the adjuster being too small to go over the shock body :blast

I learnt a lot though, and I think I'll just get him to set the bike up properly.

For future reference I use two smallish ratchet straps (looped twice) if my spring compressors don't fit :)

Top tip #43:

For those of us with a Perun Moto rack, or similar, a Kriega (rear) Haul Loop fits perfectly and makes it so much easier to move the bike around (let alone drag it out of a hedge) :)

As a man who spends a lot of time in hedges, I have found the Perun handle kit works very well for hauling the back end about.

They are also useful for general moving the bike about in the garage. I do have a Kriega loop fitted to the front though :thumb

Yeah, in some ways they are better for moving the bike around as they are rigid; I looked at them but they interfere slightly with the straps used on my throw-overs so went with the loop in the end :thumb2

Fitted my Mosko Moto luggage today ready for trip in two weeks.
Fits pretty well on the Nomad racks.

Opened the Mosko dry bags up to find a rip in one from new,as not had chance to use yet .V annoying.

Patched it up.
But emailed Mosko Moro EU and they replied the next day, apologising and are sending me out a replacement this week.
Pretty good service ,as bought the kit eighteen months ago, not that I would expect them to quibble as its not the cheapest stuff.

While I think of it does anybody want a Perun Moto rear master cylinder protector thingy LINKY I bought one and then never used it as I subsequently got a Vanasche skid plate which incorporates this feature
