I am putting my bike back together now. Is there a secret to putting the LEFT side cam chain tensioner back in?

No, just put it in before the throttle bodies for access, what size head does it have? if 15mm it has the upgrade if 17mm it has not been upgraded.

Yup Like this works fine
It all depends on how much it was taken apart.
