Against all the rules I’m sure. My cousin is looking to off load his V reg busa. He’s had it since 2000 as the second owner. It has 30k miles, mostly his. Just trying to price it. He’s thinking £4500.......any thoughts? A couple of years ago I’d have said £3k but I guess prices are getting firmer. Gutted for him.

3k to 3.5k

Maybe a tad more for the gold/bronze colour scheme, as these are becoming more rare than the red/black. Originality is key, along with pristine detailing work, if he wants any chance of achieving £4500.

Is this an early batch bike, with the separate fuel pump behind the cylinders? These need more fuel system management to keep copper particulates away from the filters, so can present maintenance issues.

Then there is the rear subframe - is it steel or alloy. The latter tended to crack/fail if loaded heavily.

Thanks both. Will feedback to him.
It’s boring red/black by the looks.

As is, £3k...ish.

Otherwise, to achieve best price, buyers will need to know the full service history & have a ready answer the fuel pump & subframe questions. The bike needs to be immaculate & run/operate perfectly, so it will need a good service, a pair of tyres, an MOT, a good clean/detailing & preferably the original pipes & seat hump. Simple stuff, but time consuming & not without attendant cost - that should keep you cousin busy.
