Been eyeing this up for years, like 20+ years, probably would've managed back in the day on a normal bike but certainly not now.

Brutal climb for about 5 or 6 miles straight up.

Looking back the other way, this time up the top of the hill in the first pic.

Doesn't quite tell the story of the brutal climb, but another good day out.

Looks very nice there Cabby.

Again, beautiful scenery! :thumb2 You are blessed with that up there. Lucky gits.
Anyhow, I’m guessing the ticker is all good now if you’re doing these sort of rides again. :nenau

Ye been fine, legs near gave in today though, a sign of how big a climb that was that today.

Sunshine makes all the difference to scenery. :okay

Cabby you live in a lovely part of the world

There’s plenty of steep climbs around me but I have to ride several to get a total elevation gain like yours!

c3000 feet gain in 19 miles

Average power of 165w says it all for me. Respect!
I have no idea if that's good or bad.

I know I rode at walking pace for a couple of miles as I chatted with a walker I happened across, who, believe it or not, despite both of us being 60+ miles from home, and in the middle of nowhere, lives in the very next street to me.

wow, looks amazing does that

Great Post and Pictures.

Nice to see it in good weather...it was very different when I did it (on foot) in January 2012....Pic below

I remember there was a "Highland Safari" there, Land Rover Defenders and tourists spotting deer and wildlife. Great place
