K&N filter kit (Halfords sell them).
I do mine as part of the service a 5000 miles.
I’ll do it earlier if it looks like it needs it, but so far I’ve not needed to. They go grey pretty quickly after re oiling them, easiest way to check it needs cleaning is to look in the grooves for grime build up.

It's OK. Girlfriend likes doing bike cleaning.
