Noddy bike 1955 LE VELOCETTE 200cc hand start

Yes they were :D

There was no traffic to speak of in those days ...

:beerjug:

I'm going to strip the wheel out to see if grease has contaminated the drum.
I think somehow it's as good as it gets.
It's a bit of fun

I forgot to add.
The mock up radio transmitter came out well

Take a biscuit tin, field radio hand set, a three way switch, 12v plug, old CAV ameter, plus old CB whip aerial

Looks lovely, great work.

Best position for a radio, my cousin was a bike copper years ago. He came off his Triumph which had a tank mounted radio…….his eyes watered for a few weeks.

I am really impressed , what a brilliant job you've done. Looks fabulous.
And I've used the funds to get my Triton running - good job all round.

Happy Bikers!

I clearly remember my uncle George arriving on one of those one fine summers evening. He was a Sgt. in the RUC and must have borrowed it from the police garage ;

That would have been in the late 50's.....yes, I'm older than Mickey :D

... and you still ride a 1200, then power to your elbow Sir Harry :thumby:

I had an uncle in the 1950's that rode a Vincent Comet Grey Shadow production racer ;)
