BMW bike to bike comms device

Anyone tried the Bike to bike comms device that provides mesh connectivity across multiple bikes ?

I’m curious if it works across different brands of comms and it is simply network layer and the comms provide the Vox, etc.

My understanding is that Cardo mesh and Sena mesh will not communicate with each other.

But I bet it won't be long before one of them introduces 'universal mesh' in the same way that Sena has with 'universal pairing' of bluetooth
