Would appreciate any ideas for helmets colour/style/brand to pair with my white/blue Urban and brown jacket.

O dear.
First choose a helmet that FITS. I have a Shoei head, doesn’t mean shoei right for you.
Second. Choose a colour/graphic you like/matches your awesome steed/jacket

Can you lend your head to the OP, so that he can see for himself what you mean. Or, at least supply pictures. The police are bound to have some, after that little misunderstanding outside St Wilhelmina‘s School for Girls. Ask if you can borrow theirs; as a rate payer you are entitled to them, my mate says.

Being a Yorkshireman I thought you would have added a final point

Then hunt around for the best price and when’s that for the obsolete colour in Honda Jazz beige buy that, tell everyone what a great deal you’ve got and explain the colour is iconic and hard to find

I have discovered that Mr Cock-in-the-hay is short of stature, seemingly similarly short of imagination and dare I even say it, a bit old. I think we have all been jolly nasty to him. With this in mind, I am recommending:

Though I can see that the gorget around the neck might be overkill and indeed a bit heavy. I’d go for a Buff, either plain or with Japanese cherry blossom, perhaps? Better still, a lifestyle aim, such as ‘Ride Free’ woven into it? Maybe even a risqué Japanese geisha. Saucy or what?

The great thing about this helmet is that, when the fad of Urban ownership is past and living the dream over, it can be turned upside down and used as a flower pot. Quite the talking point over tea and fondant fancies in the garden, whist you clean the oil from under your otherwise perfect finger nails; the last reminder of an age not quite forgotten.

I did think of asking the same question for a Sportglide

So glad I didn’t.

Guilty as I am of not supporting Dick Wheatcock, I am seeking atonement.

I have discovered that BMW have a complete lifestyle guide, along with a manned telephone line.

How cool is that?

The great thing about the telephone is that the caller can remain anonymous and, not least, not have to ask for a box to stand on when seeing over a shop counter in the showroom.

PS I see that the same website offers, sex with men, women and, in these enlightened, fully inclusive times, ‘unisex’, which I take to be gender fluid, non-binary.

I do think we need more information on Mr Chaffedcock’s brown jacket.

What are we talking about here?

Brown, distressed, modern but retro leather? Hopefully, stylish Italian but maybe Chinese, with just an Italian flag sown into the label?

Genuine 1940’s USAF fighter jacket?

Lewis Leathers, Great Portland Street, London W1, 1970’s Battle of Britain sheepskin?

Geography school teacher corduroy, with leather elbow patches?

Plaid, perhaps?

And the trousers and boots? What about them? There’s a total look being sort here, Dick. We are here to help.

Is that a Russian riot police model or the top of a swing-top bin? If the latter, up-cycling is all the rage amongst hip right on Urban riders, I’m told. There’s a specialist shop in Pasadena CA who use leather (salvaged from 1910 Ford Model T upholstery) who make cool chin straps.

That, along with expensive beard grooming, which I am sure the OP will be fully up to speed with, will complete the look.

These are good, especially if your young lady friend has a small muff..
