Just thought I’d put a picture up of my tiger, I wasn’t sure if it would live up to my 1200 GSA, how wrong could I have been, 12 months on and I absolutely love it!

Lovely bike....

Which model GSA are you comparing it with just out of interest?

Thats strange,

I test rode one and took it straight back after about 5 minutes,

neither the 8 or the 12 were patch on the GS

The 12 model pissed all over the GS as a mile muncher with far better tech and software- just the dealer that was a wanker so BAhnstormers got my money on a 1200LC.
BMW have got even worse with the quality on the 1250 so this one that replaced it won’t be that’s for sure.

Test rode the early Explorer against a new 2011 gsa tc and went for the gsa only because of the larger tank . At the time Triumph promised a 32 litre tank was on its way ...........................

Test rode a new 2019 Explorer when thinking about chopping in the GSA LC, lovely bike but fuel consumption according to computer was higher than the BMW and still no larger tank , dealers staff say that Triumph had promised a larger tank is on its way.

Obviously they have been busy during the intervening 8 years and it is on the TO DO list.

It is one of the few bikes that would tempt me away from the BMW as the main bike

Had the launch model of this - really liked it - but being sat in a workshoop on recalls for more time than I had to ride it made me go over to a GSA. Did a trip down to Gibraltar on it and it didn't miss a beat!

I bought a brand new one in 2012 - then swapped it for a 2011 GSA after 18 months which I still have.
I never got on with it - the only Triumph of many I have owned and I have never taken to.
The Explorer went like stink. I even did a track day on it at Darley Moor.
But i found it really top heavy, hated the snatchy throttle and the finish on it was really piss poor.
Possibky early model faults
Hope yours does you proud
